Day 29: Raw Food Challenge

One day to go.  Went to the mall to get my reward because there is no doubt that I will finish this challenge...

Anyone that knows me knows that the purse is not in that bag.  I changed bags in the car.  My husband was with me,  he drove while I switched bad, He knew I couldn't wait.  It was the last one in the store...One of my Facebook friends said that she would eat cardboard for a new Coach bag...girl, I know the feeling!  I love my new bag and I love the new me...on the road to Fabulousness!!!

Today the husband and I ventured out and had lunch at a restaurant next to Roots Market in Clarksville...

I was just a little nervous but was ready for the challenge.  Not sure what raw items I would find on the menu but to my surprise there where exactly 3 items for me to choose from, well actually 2 because one of the items was "Almost Raw".  I ordered the Raw California Roll...

I actually had 2 orders of these rolls, they were very tasty and I welcomed the chance to eat something other than what I created.  There were 5 rolls on the plate but I kept forgetting to take the picture,  I just immediately started eating them.  I shared one with the hubby.  He liked!  As mush as I love wasabi, I could not get it this go around because unbeknownst to me wasabi is not raw.

Hubby ordered black bean and corn quesadillas...

He said that they were just OK, had some kinda funky cheese-like stuff on them.  Doubt that he will get that again.  I think that we will go there again.  It was a nice place and it's close to my grocery store.

I guess one of my next adventures will be to find great restaurants that serve Raw Cuisine...I'm up for that challenge too.

Recipe of the day:

Spicy Thai Kelp Noodles
One bag of Kelp noodles(rinse and cut into bite size pieces)
1/3 cup olive oil
2 tbs nama shoyu
2 tsp red pepper flakes
2 cloves garlic
1/4 cup green onions
2 tbs agave
sea salt to taste
Mix all ingredients and let marinate for at least an hour...Enjoy

This is one of my favorite things to eat.  I make this at least twice a week.  My daughter likes this dish too.

29 days down 1 to go!!!!!!!
