30 day Raw Food Challenge

Well, this is my first time blogging.  This adventure that I am partaking in is definitely blog worthy.  I am taking part in a 30 day Raw Food Challenge.  For the most part I feel that I am a healthy eater.  But for the last few years I have gotten so far off track that I really don't recognize myself when I look in the mirror.  I am not happy with my weight or how I feel.  So, I am taking part in this challenge to try and get myself back on track...Trying to find the me that I remember.

I am trying to take charge of my health and my life.  Heart disease, high blood pressure both run in my family and I am determined to break that family curse for my life.  Exercise is also a very important part of this challenge.  I used to exercise daily and like my eating habits that has fallen off also.  So, I will be exercising with this challenge to make it a part of my daily life also.

So basically I will be blogging for the next 30 days about this 30 day Raw Food Challenge, the difficulties that I encounter with this challenge and my progress.
This is the beginning of Day 3 of the challenge...I have spent the last 2 days visiting my god daughter at Penn State.  Here, I am realizing that it is difficult when eating out at restaurants.  Salad with olive oil and lemon is pretty much what's on the menu when eating out.  For breakfast each morning I have been eating fresh fruit, and a large salad for lunch.  That's it.  Funny thing is, I have not been very hungry when dinner time rolls around but I make myself eat a salad.  Also I have been drinking lots of water with lemons.  Today we are leaving Penn State and I know once I'm home it will be easier to add different things to my menu.

I have to admit that I have not given up coffee and I had a couple of martinis this weekend...boo me!
Note to self...keep baby carrots and almonds in your purse.
